What is a Lexile?

MetaMetrics is the maker of the Lexile Framework, a reading measure of your child’s ability to comprehend text. The same scale is used to measure the complexity of any text they read. Ideally, children should be matched to reading materials that are appropriate for their age and reading ability in order to accelerate their skills.
